ACTIVITY REPORT

  • The main activity of the trust is to provide free food to the needy people and removing the hunger.

  • Every year food has been provided at Tiruvannamalai for two days on the occasion of Thirukarthigai Deepam.

  • During the year 2019 food has been provided for 34000 people in the Girivala Pathai, Tiruvannamalai on the occasion of Karthigai Deepam continuously for 2 days.

  • Due to flood Chennai and nearby areas lakhs of people were affected. Our trust has provided Rice Bags, Provisions along with Idly cooker and Dosa Thava to 105 families in jaffarkhanpet. 2 Tailor machines and 5 iron boxes were also given who have lost it during floods.

  • On every New Year Day Janauary 1, free food as lunch has been given in one selected slum area since 2016 till January 01, 2023

  • Every year during the months of April and May, water and buttermilk is being given to overcome hot summer for a period of 40 days. Every day around 700 tumblers of buttermilk is given and in total about 30000 people are benefitted.

  • Thousands of children studying in 10th and 11th standard in Corporations schools were provided with break-fast one day.

  • Purattasi Saturdays are very important in Lord Venkateswara Temples. Hence sweet pongal and puliyothara was given to 5000 devotees on all Saturdays in 4 temples during Sep-Oct. for the past three years since 2019.

  • 2020 is a magical year in the minds of entire Indians as it was highly popularized by our late President of India Shri APJ Abdhul Kalaam ji. To welcome the new year we have provides Kesari and 2020 idlies with sambar in a slum at Jaffarkhanpet

  • COVID – 19, From 29th March 2020 to 5rd May 2020 EVERY DAY 3000 packets of food (break-fast-1000, lunch – 1000 and dinner -1000 pkts.) was given for Migrant labourers, road side orphan peoples, cleaning workers and coporation health workers to the tune of Rs.10.00 lakhs benefitting 1,21,000 people (with other NGOs)

  • COVID – 19 during May-June 2020, 1760 families were provided with Rice and Provision bags each worth of Rs.700/- were given to the needy poor villagers totaling to Rs.12.30 lakhs. These people were affected due to corona wave and unable to earn their income. These families were located in Minjur, Andarkuppam, Ponneri, Aarambakkam, Poovalai, Magaral, Pakkam, Thamaraipakkam Koot Road, Thiruninravur, Kundrathur, Madipakkam, Pallikaranai, Surapet, Shanmugpuram and Tiruporur.

  • Lorry/Truck drivers and cleaners were given food packets with water near the Toll Gate continuously for 8 days during the lock down period.

  • 25 kg Rice Bags and pumpkins (4 tonnes were purchased from a farmer who is unable to sell his pumpkins due to coronos) were given to 14 orphanages and old age homes during lock down as the homes who were not approached by the regular donors.

  • COVID – 19 II WAVE - Now during May 2021 lockdown period Water bottles, juice, biscuits, bread, food pockets were given to 108 ambulance drivers, attenders, patient relatives and others in Govt. Rajaji G.H, Royapettah, Stanley and Omanthurur Hospital in Chennai for a period of 34 days continuously worth about 12.00 lakhs. Benefitting 85000 people to get food.

  • COVID – 19 II WAVE – During June-July 2021 Rice and Provisions bags were given to 2400 families in Chengleput, Maduranthagam, Melsithamur, Tiruvannamalai, Thiruthani, Vadathillai and other areas.

  • During the floods and storm time since 2015 still December 2021(NIVAR Puyal), we have provided 266 tarpaulins for the huts which were totally damaged along with Rice and Provisions bags, 89 families were provided with Mats, Pillows, Bedsheets with provisions. Besides the above Cooking vessels, Tailoring machines, Iron Boxes, materials for tea shop were also given to the needy.

  • In association with SAKCHAM Handicapped people were supported with wheel chairs, tri cycles, walkers and sticks along with rice and provisions.

  • During 2021 we have identified 4 leprosy homes and provided one time full meals and supported them withplates, spoon, tumblers, dress, plastic chairs and a Television.

  • Since January 01, 2022 every month in 2 places, we are providing one time meals to 350 people in slum areas. (sweet, two types of rice along with subji.)

  • Akshya Thrithiyay is an auspicious day for providing free food to the needy. Accordingly we have provided Cocunut rice, Curd rice, Butter milk etc for 1000s of people in slum areas.

  • Borewell with Hand pump was provided to the Tribal Families living in Veerapuram to remove thirsty. Incidentally Sarees, Dhotis, Rice, Provisions and Tarpaulins to 55 families were given at a cost of Rs.2.20 lakhs on 29th August. 2022

  • During all the 4 Saturdays of Purataasi month 150 kg of Puliyothari was given in 4 perumal temples for more than 3000 devotees.

  • Annadhanam was provided to 42000 people during Karthigai Deepam at Tiruvannamalai on 6th,7th and 8th December 2022 continuously for 3 days in disposable plates. Pongal, Rava Uppuma, Sambar Rice, Puliyotharai, Lemon Rice, Vegetable Briyani, Tomatto Rice, Pothina Rice, Kitchadi and Curd Rice were provided.

  • On January 01, 2023 to welcome the new year lunch consisting of Kesari, Vegetable Briyani, Onion Raitha, Curd Rice and Pickle was given to 400 people in a slum behind Kamaraj Memorial Hall.
